OUR STORY

 

Carolyn SweeneyHello! I’m Carolyn Sweeney, owner, designer, and print artist at Black Dog Press, a boutique letterpress and digital printing studio based in Boulder, Colorado.

Back in 2001 we named the company after our ever-present black lab puppy, Rocket. While sweet, old Rocket is no longer with us, Black Dog Press continues designing and printing custom wedding invitations and mitzvah invitations, as well as personalized stationery and letterhead. Our online stationery store carries unique greeting cards and stationery for every occasion.

With an educational background in Fine Arts and Architecture, I find great pleasure in the exacting process of setting type and printing.  Each card in our line has been hand fed into one of our vintage Chandler and Price platen presses. Our shops and clients can testify to the originality of our designs, the quality of our work and our meticulous customer service.
